First pass on character’s skin and fabric textures. No SSS.

For a good skin material it requires :

  • A good base texture : for a realistic character this means a good amount of details and various colors.
  • A strong height/normal texture : the subsurface effect will soften the surface details, having strong details in the first place will compensate.

Lighting and Render

LUTs (Look-Up Tables) apply a color transform to your render. A LUT file changes the RGB information in your render to a new range of colors to match a certain look as defined inside a LUT file.
